Holiday Performance

December 2007 - Lexy's ballet class put on a really cute program at Christmas time to Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. She has a great teacher who is very patient and really teaches the kids a lot.

Hold onto your seats everyone - We have a new post!

So, I obviously have not been very diligent with my posts and now I am even further behind than before. Thanks to a gentle email nudge from a sweet friend I have forced myself to get back on track. At this time I only have a few minutes before we have to leave for a play date at the park, but we'll see what I can do.

November '07 - My friend Daylynne and her little boy Elijah came down to visit. We took a trip to the park so that the boys could play. They had a great time.

Bouncing Fun

November '07 - Today the whole family went to an indoor play gym called Pump It Up. They have lots of huge bounce houses with walls to climb, slides, basketballs, and obstacle courses. The funnest part is that parents are allowed to go too. I don't know if I have ever gotten a better workout than I did here. It is not easy squeezing through all of the small places that this kids squeeze through. Nathan was a little timid at first but once he realized he could do it there was nothing holding him back.

On this particular slide you have to ride on a little sled. At the front there is a place to put your feet. We all piled in and had a blast. I think we all decided this was our favorite slide.

October '07 -

Here are a couple of pictures from Halloween. Lexy was an Angel and Nathan was Superman. We had a "trunk-or-treat" at church despite the rain and the kids got lots of candy.

GOTCHA

September '07 - To give a little background for the following pictures my Grandaddy and I have always enjoyed cutting up and playing jokes on each other. For the longest time we would just lick our finger and make a mark on the invisible score board in the air. Somehow about a year or so ago it turned into something even bigger when he mailed me an empty package with nothing but a piece of paper in it that said "Gotcha". So now we take turns trying to one-up each other.

When my grandparents came to visit this last time we had everyone over for dinner. Before they arrived Aaron and I were trying to come up with some different "Gotcha" ideas. We were having grilled steak and chicken for dinner so I decided to make a "road-kill" steak. I looked up a picture of a raccoon on the Internet and created my little friend within about 15 minutes. (I have to brag a little because even I was impressed). Anyway, when they arrived at the house Grandaddy handed me a gift, as well as the kids. Not even a bit suspicious, I opened the gift and found a real score board - complete with skewed results. We all know that I have more points. :) That was his gotcha. I was so glad that I had come up with something to get him right back. When we sat down for dinner I asked him if he would like steak or chicken. When he said steak I took his plate and came back with a road-kill steak. YUM! GOTCHA Grandaddy! I love you!
